The next time your grandma asks you, “honey, what does black ‘n roll, NOLA-style, sound like?”, you can tell her it sounds like this:
(and this is Goatwhore, in a high-quality video of the band performing “In the Narrow Confines of Defilement”, live in Denver on November 10; more videos from this show are available here)
Anyone who doesn’t seize the opportunity to see Goatwhore live should have their feet whipped and be forced to walk home.
Goatwhore puts on one of the best live shows I’ve seen, that’s for sure, and despite the fact that they’ve been touring non-stop for basically the past two years, they still perform with lots of energy and make it sound fresh — real pro’s.
I got to see them back in early September and they played to a crowd of about 30 people like they were playing to a packed arena. I made a post about it on Death Metal Baboon titled A Night in Chattanooga, I’d leave a link but the DMB server seems to be down at the moment.
I read your post on that show not long after it appeared on DMB. I saw them back in January when they were touring with Behemoth, and we wrote about that show here:
https://www.nocleansinging.com/2010/01/21/behemoth-in-seattle/
I saw them again more recently at a show we didn’t review for NCS — and I’ll turn out to see them again the next time they’re in Seattle.
I hope that I’ll be able to see them again but I don’t expect it to be in Chattanooga.
Yum yum! If they ever come to Nootdorp (town where I live, loosely translated as Nutville) I’ll be present. That goes for The Hague, Rotterdam, Amsterdam, Leiden or any other nearby city as well by the way.
,!..! go out and support goatwhore,!..! lord satan comands it !
