I didn’t say my thoughts would be coherent.
As we previously reported, Deathspell Omega have recorded a new EP called Drought, and it will be upon us on June 22 via Season of Mist. Pre-order here. Decibel magazine began streaming the first track yesterday. It’s aptly titled “Abrasive Swirling Murk”. Listen to it and read about it HERE. Or just below.
What are your thoughts?
My thoughts are an abstract mix of chemical signals and electrical impulses, primed by environmental and genetic factors.
Just as I always thought.
I gave it about 5-6 spins and enjoyed it 🙂
I Need this in my life.
i also share an uncommon amount of neural reactions triggered by the nervous terminals located in my auditory system, propelling impulses to my genital area, creating a phenomena know as boner.
Weird, my boner creates my thoughts. I think you got your wiring mixed up.
If we could put you two together we could achieve a biofeedback loop that would give you a one-track mind and make it difficult to walk around in public.
When you look as good as this it’s already hard to walk around in public.
Sounds like your mix of chemical signals and electrical impulses is producing delusions of grandeur. As a trained medical professional, I recommend trepanning.
This is the High OF THE DAY for me!!!!
Between these hilarious thoughts and the awesome music, this is officially my favorite post on NCS.

I owe all my thoughts to the inspired lyricism of John Daker.
Did you read that Decibel interview thing? Dude is all like: We’re not better than everyone else, but, since we’re on the subject, we’re obviously better than everyone else. I’m confused. Regardless, great song.
Minor quibble, that interview is quite old (it came out a bit after SMRC was released) and wasn’t with Decibel. The whole thing is long but worth while:

The first album took a couple of spins before I understood and liked it, I suspect the same thing will happen judging by the new song.
I’m underwhelmed. “Paracletus” was a grower for me, so maybe this will be too. I was subconsciously hoping for more of those clearly defined high-pitched notes they played on the last album, I didn’t hear what I wanted. But who knows… maybe it’ll sink in.
I pre-orderd this the day it was announced and hearing this has not made me regret that. My off the cuff feeling having heard this a few times is that at times I hear some of the awesome chaos that was “Fas – Ite, Maledicti, in Ignem Aeternum” but perhaps more refined. It will be interesting to hear how the rest of the songs play out.
