Saturday morning in Seattle. I’m up and moving around (slowly). Still need to finish that writing project for NCS I mentioned in the last post, but I thought I’d throw this out there in the meantime: Beginning about an hour ago (9 a.m. Eastern Time), Metal Blade began streaming The Black Dahlia Murder’s forthcoming album Everblack in its entirety. So you don’t have to take our word for it that the album is excellent.

But the album stream will only last for 24 hours, so if you’re curious about Everblack, don’t dawdle. Go HERE.

  1. Massive and timely post, thanks!!

  2. Yep…still dont get the love for this band. The musics okay, a little bit on the vanilla side, but not terrible. Those vocals though…ugh. People keep saying what a great singer he is, but 3/5 of the time he uses that obnoxious shriek, and the other 2/5 is a really unimpressive growl

    • I agree, I gave them another shot with this album preview, the music is good but the vocals, which I think are pretty much ordinary, don’t work for me.

    • Personally I think the ‘shriek’ is the best part, though I do love the tracks where he drops in the growl a bit more forcefully.

Each to his own I suppose.

    • I don’t have any issue with the vocals, but I agree with your second sentence. There’s not much that really stands out and grabs my attention, but it has its moments. This is the first time I’ve listened to one of their full-lengths entirely and I was actually expecting a little more.

    • Neither do i. The music is not really that great, just dont get it myself. Much like Pig Destroyer’s last two albums they are more of a product of the hype train.

  3. i absolutely love it, totally awesome! definitely their best so far
