Minutes ago the organizers of Maryland Deathfest XIII announced the third and final round of confirmed bands for next year’s event (whose names have now been added to the flyer you see above). Without further ado, here’s the list, as copied from MDF’s Facebook page:

Below, we’re also pasting the balance of today’s MDF announcement:
Take note that we will also have a Thursday show at Ottobar (located at 2549 N Howard St), which will feature some of the death metal bands from the list of confirmed bands above. Another band or two will be added to this show at a later date.
We’ve noted below where each band is playing. The day-by-day list of bands for Edison Lot, Soundstage, and Rams Head between Friday-Sunday will be posted by the end of August. All ticket options will go on sale on Friday, September 5th at 3 PM (EST)
Also, we have collaborated with Relapse Records and have arranged for some special appearances & performances to celebrate as part of their year long 25th anniversary. Special sets will take place, including the first ever live performance of Agoraphobic Nosebleed, the first ever North American appearance of Inverloch (members of diSEMBOWELMENT playing songs from their classic records), and Amorphis performing a special set of the entire classic Tales From the Thousand Lakes album.

If only I could skip school to go for all four days. Totally getting a two-day ticket though, regardless of expense.
That’s just ridiculous. Utterly ridiculous. Wonder what kind of budget MDF have to play with?
Amorphis, Adversarial, Razor and fucking Morpheus Descends are the best things on the new list..
…and that is one ugly Thursday lineup…pass
Devourment is the only name I recognize on that Ottobar show, which certainly makes it a let-down compared to the 2014 pre-fest show. I’m also stoked for Adversarial and Amorphis — but it appears I’ll have to get educated about Razor and Morpheus Descends.
That Ottobar show is really bad..all brutal death bands I think (Not sure about Ciborium, which is apparently co-organizer Ryans band…Kind of lame to use a slot for your own band if you ask me)…but even that Rams Head Thursday lineup looks dull (Conan being the exception)
Theres definitely some good stuff on this list, with a few I really want to see, but after last years lineup it seems a bit underwhelming..not nearly as stacked
Not sure if you’ll like Razor or not..theyre an exception to my usual dislike of traditional thrash. Morpheus Descends is an old NYDM band from back in the early days of the scene…They lean a bit more towards the Incantation style of things
Isn’t Origin also slotted for the Ottobar show?

This festival never cease to impress with the “special” performances. I mean, Bloodbath for the first time in 5 years, Demilich in like, forever, Agoraphobic Nosebleed for the first time ever, Razor…
I really hope to one day make it and assist from Mexico.
