With a pair of launching-pad EPs behind them, the Italian hellraisers in Spoiled are now on the verge of releasing their debut album Collapse, which will be discharged in February by the Portuguese labels Gruesome Records and Selvajaria Records. The labels preview what’s coming with this description:
This release delivers 15 tracks of blistering, violent, and fast-paced Thrash/Crossover at 250 BPM. Inspired by legends such as D.R.I., S.O.D., Slayer, Iron Reagan, Crumbsuckers, Ratos de Porão, Raw Power, Nuclear Assault, and Municipal Waste, Collapse is a high-octane homage to the genre’s greats.
Today we have a more concrete preview, as we premiere a video for the album track “Zombie Hunters” — a song that uses familiar legends of the ghoulish undead as a metaphor for a different kind of plague.
Spoiled describe the message of the song this way:
The song is about the drug and alcohol abuse that literally turn the people into zombies.
We’re not righteous pigs and we think that everybody is free to be the dick he or she wants to be, but drugged-out zombies and their dope dealer friends are not welcome in our scene.
True to the punk roots of their music, Spoiled don’t waste time in “Zombie Hunters.” They turn over the ignition, quickly rev their engine, and then stomp on the gas, marauding through this track in little more than a minute of time.
With the drums pumping like overheating pistons and the bass giving the drive-train a heavy punch, the spitfire riffing viciously sizzles, swarms, and extravagantly blares. The music is electrifying and guaranteed to give your adrenaline a swift kick in the ass.
Meanwhile, vocalist Danny Boy barks and brays the words with firebrand intensity and raw grit, with gang yells adding to the fury. The only problem with this mayhem is that it’s likely to leave you hungry for more… and you’ll have to wait a bit to be fed… though you can continue letting this song run you ragged in the meantime.
The video, directed by Punto Interrogativo Production, shows the band charging through the song in a way that will suitably scatter your eyeballs and vibrate your brains while the song is firing up your internal engines. Enjoy!

Collapse was recorded by Stefano Morabito at the renowned 16th Cellar Studio (known for producing acts like Decrepit Birth, Hour of Penance, Fleshgod Apocalypse, and more).
