Dethklok, Lamb of God, and GOJIRA GOJIRA GOJIRA will be touring North America this summer.  Also, GOJIRA will be part of that tour.  Further, the tour will include GOJIRA.

This news, which includes GOJIRA, was officially announced days ago. I must have been in a coma, because I missed it until today. I found out today because I’m on an e-mail list for the venue in Seattle where this tour will be stopped, and I got an announcement of a pre-sale that begins today. After I attempted to get all the sticky stuff out of my pants that appeared there when I realized I would get to see GOJIRA again, I promptly bought tickets.

And yes, the tour, which features GOJIRA, will be stopping in Seattle. In fact, the tour BEGINS in Seattle on August 1. GOJIRA and those other bands will then visit 31 other cities in the U.S. and Canada over the next eight weeks. The whole schedule is after the jump, along with info about how to find tickets — which go on sale tomorrow.

  1. just for GOJIRA alone!!!!! but fuck this is going to be a huge tour

    • wooohooo would look at the fist date of the tour!!! Seems someone will get a live orgasm for sure!!! @islander

    • $52 for me to see Gojira as an opening act, I’ll pass. Not that I like LoG, but I was surprised Dethklok was a co headliner, I knew they were semi popular, but not THAT popular.

I remember Gojira did some headlining off dates when they supported Metallica or soneone else last time. Their schedule looks tight, so not sure if they could do that this time around. Guess I gotta hope for an eventually headlining tour

      • Yeah, it’s pricey, no doubt. However, I have no ability to resist, given that GOJIRA is on the line-up. Also, I was stunned by how good Brendan Small and his Dethklok comrades were when they came through Seattle on that tour with Mastodon a couple years back. And I’ve never seen LOG, which I really have wanted to do at some point.

        • I don’t dislike Dethklok, it just does nothing for me, therefore I wouldn’t pay to see it. I had a chance a few years ago to see Gojira here, but I didn’t go (for whatever reason) so kinda kicking myself for that. But I’m sure there will be additional chances to see a full headlining set.

        • I saw LoG at Mayhem in 2010. They were great, any fan of their music would be missing out on a huge thing if they never saw them live.

  2. Denver. September 11th. Why? Because Gojira kills terrorists with their music.

  3. Dethklok are perhaps the only valid use for the new hologrammatic performance that’s starting to worm its way into the music world.

  4. That really is a lot of money… even for Gojira and LoG. Occupation Domination didn’t even cost that much for TWO tickets.

  5. “Tickets are being sold either at venue box offices are online”
    Think you meant “or online”
Seems you were too busy jizzing to concentrate on syntax. 🙂

    • To be brutally honest, syntax is the last thing on my mind when I am jizzing. Actually, there is nothing on my mind when I am jizzing. Maybe that’s too much information.

    • Further proof: “an e-mail list for the venue in Seattle where this tour will be stopped” — what the fuck does that mean?

  6. The way the musicians and the visual effects synchronized during that Last Dethklok Mastodon remains to this day one of the most captivating and entertaining live shows I’ve ever witnessed. I will definitely try to make it to the NY date if work allows.

    • Ditto that. Dethklok would have been worth hearing even without the synchronized videos from Metalocalypse behind them, but the perfect meshing of the two was over the top. And the video show behind Mastodon while they played Crack the Skye straight through was also a phenomenal experience.
